The Department of Pediatrics, Division of Neonatology at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago and at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine seeks a full‑time non‑tenure‑eligible Clinician‑Educator at the rank of Instructor, Assistant Professor, or up to Associate Professor. Responsibilities include both clinical and academic work.
The clinical responsibilities will be located at the academic medical centers of Lurie Children's NICU (Level IV) and the Northwestern Prentice Women’s Hospital NICU (Level III) and will include attending high‑risk deliveries and managing the care of critically ill newborns. The academic responsibilities will include participation in education, clinical research, quality improvement, and development of an area of expertise of the individual's choosing. Administrative responsibilities will be available, if desired.
Qualified candidates will be Board‑certified in Neonatal‑Perinatal Medicine. The initial academic appointment at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine will be at the rank of Instructor, Assistant Professor up to Associate Professor commensurate with experience and academic achievement. The salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.
The start date is negotiable and the position will remain open until filled.
The expected base pay range for this position is $230,351 - $326,400.
Northwestern University has provided a pay range representing its good‑faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for the position. The pay offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors including (but not limited to) the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate, including years since terminal degree, training, and field or discipline; departmental budget availability; internal comparators; and external market pay for comparable jobs.
