Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer to drive process improvement, cost reduction, and innovation in a fast-paced production environment. This role requires a hands-on professional with strong technical expertise, creativity, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, document, and improve manufacturing processes for metal stamping, fabrication, and machining.
- Support new product launches with process flow, routings, and setup documentation.
- Prepare cost estimates and quotations from blueprints, CAD models, and specifications.
- Determine tooling, cycle times, and labor costs to ensure accurate pricing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver competitive quotes and process improvements.
- Design jigs, fixtures, and tooling to enhance productivity and quality.
- Conduct time studies and capacity analyses to identify bottlenecks.
- Lead Lean and Six Sigma initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
- Provide technical support for production and quality issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering
- Experience in metal stamping, metal fabrication, or precision machining required
- Experience preparing cost estimates or quotes for manufactured parts.
- Strong knowledge of tooling design, process flow, and machine setup.
- Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD; MasterCAM a plus).
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (JobBOSS preferred).
- Working knowledge of Lean, 5S, and continuous improvement methods.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to balance shop floor involvement with technical and cost analysis.
