Job Summary
Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer to drive process improvement, cost reduction, and innovation in a fast-paced production environment. This role requires a hands‑on professional with strong technical expertise, creativity, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, document, and improve manufacturing processes for metal stamping, fabrication, and machining.
Support new product launches with process flow, routings, and setup documentation.
Prepare cost estimates and quotations from blueprints, CAD models, and specifications.
Determine tooling, cycle times, and labor costs to ensure accurate pricing.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver competitive quotes and process improvements.
Design jigs, fixtures, and tooling to enhance productivity and quality.
Conduct time studies and capacity analyses to identify bottlenecks.
Lead Lean and Six Sigma initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
Provide technical support for production and quality issues.
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience).
3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering.
Experience in metal stamping, metal fabrication, or precision machining.
Experience preparing cost estimates or quotes for manufactured parts.
Strong knowledge of tooling design, process flow, and machine setup.
Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD; MasterCAM a plus).
Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (JobBOSS preferred).
Working knowledge of Lean, 5S, and continuous improvement methods.
Excellent analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to balance shop floor involvement with technical and cost analysis.
Seniority Level Mid‑Senior level.
Employment Type Full‑time.
Location Atlanta, GA – Salary range: $119,800.00 – $258,000.00.
