Account Manager – Yale Mechanical

Responsibilities Client Relationship Management

Act as the primary liaison for assigned accounts, ensuring client satisfaction and addressing their needs.

Represent the full spectrum of Yale Mechanical’s services to clients.

Account Retention & Growth

Focus on retaining existing clients while identifying opportunities for account growth and increased profitability.

Collaborate with the Director of Sales and VP of Service to develop and expand existing accounts and secure new business.

Strategic Planning

Develop and implement proactive repair, replacement, and upgrade plans, as well as long‑term capital strategies with key customers.

Create account plans for key customers to ensure their ongoing satisfaction and loyalty.

Professionalism & Team Support

Maintain professionalism in all client interactions and uphold the company’s reputation for excellence.

Work closely with others to share updates, flag unusual circumstances, and request additional resources when needed.

Perform other duties as assigned by department leadership.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years’ experience in service coordination or service/account management, preferably within the construction industry.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to interact professionally with customers, technicians, and management.

Strong organizational and planning skills.

Comfortable in a fast‑paced, technology‑driven service environment.

Professional, respectful presence on the phone, via electronic communications, and physically in the office.

Basic knowledge of sales, service and accounting processes.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and office equipment.

A team player who can also work independently with minimal supervision.

GED or high school diploma.

Must pass a criminal history background check.

Physical & Mental Demands

Ability to sit for extended periods of time working at a computer or handling dispatch communications.

Ability to talk, hear, and communicate clearly.

Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, managing multiple priorities simultaneously.

Frequent use of hands and fingers to type, handle paperwork, operate office equipment, and use a telephone.

Capacity for critical thinking and decision‑making under time‑sensitive conditions.

Ability to maintain composure and professionalism when handling urgent service requests or challenging situations.

Occasionally stand, stoop, walk, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Reach and use hands to handle, carry, and utilize tools or materials.

Use close vision and adjust focus as needed.

Salary & Benefits This is a salaried, exempt role, paying at an annual gross range between $70,000 and $115,000, depending on experience. We also offer incentive programs, a comprehensive benefits package—including medical, dental, vision, ancillary programs, life and disability insurance, employer‑matched 401K, ongoing training and safety programs.
