Quality Engineer

to join its Cincinnati-based team. The ideal candidate will have

7+ years of hands‑on quality experience , be a

Certified Lead Auditor (AS9100/ISO 9001) , and bring a strong background in aerospace/defense manufacturing environments.

This is a fast‑paced, highly collaborative quality function, where you’ll take the lead on audits, corrective actions, internal investigations, and process improvement initiatives across a range of mission‑critical programs. You’ll work directly with program managers, manufacturing engineers, and suppliers to maintain quality excellence from cradle to grave.

What You’ll Do

Serve as

lead auditor

for internal and external audits (AS9100/ISO 9001)

Manage First Article Inspections (FAI) per AS9102

Lead RCA (Root Cause Analysis) and CAPA initiatives using 8D, Ishikawa, or 5 Whys

Oversee internal QMS processes and maintain audit‑ready documentation

Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing on quality planning

Support PPAP, inspection plans, and control documentation for new and existing products

Participate in customer complaint investigations and nonconformance resolution

Provide training on QMS, audit standards, and continuous improvement practices

Track KPIs and drive quality metrics improvement across programs

What You’ll Need

7+ years of experience

in Quality Engineering in aerospace, defense, or regulated manufacturing

ISO 9001 auditing and documentation experience

Hands‑on experience with AS9102 First Article Inspections

Strong analytical skills for root cause/corrective action (8D, Fishbone, FMEA, etc.)

Comfortable with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Costpoint, etc.) and QMS tools

Working knowledge of military specs, drawings, and technical standards

Proficiency with GD&T, metrology equipment, and inspection tools

CQE or CQA certification preferred

U.S. Citizenship required due to ITAR regulations
