Supplier Quality Engineer – Aerospace Propulsion Systems Location:
Greater Atlanta Area | Full-Time | On-Site Salary:

ROLE YOU WILL PLAY: Join an elite engineering and manufacturing team driving quality excellence across the company’s supplier network. The
Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE)
will lead supplier qualification, auditing, and development initiatives that ensure every precision component meets the highest aerospace standards. This is a hands-on technical role ideal for a quality leader passionate about continuous improvement, collaboration, and supplier partnership. You’ll work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and procurement to embed quality from design through delivery.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Supplier Qualification & Oversight Conduct AS9100 and ISO 9001 audits to verify process capability and compliance Manage supplier qualification, FAI/PPAP submissions, and component approvals Evaluate process capability with emphasis on CNC machining, datums, and GD&T Maintain and improve the approved supplier list Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement Develop supplier quality plans; manage NCRs, CARs, and 8D investigations Lead root-cause and corrective action analysis for recurring supplier issues Drive yield, cost, and delivery improvements through measurable KPIs Mentor suppliers on process optimization and quality systems Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with Engineering and Manufacturing to ensure design-for-quality Support internal AS9100 audits and maintain certification readiness Provide technical guidance on machining tolerances and process validation Quality Management System Maintain QMS documentation, supplier history, and audit records Ensure compliance with all regulatory and customer-specific quality standards
BACKGROUND PROFILE: B.S. in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Aerospace Engineering 7+ years of supplier quality experience in aerospace or precision manufacturing Deep knowledge of CNC machining, GD&T, and datum structures Proficiency with AS9100 / ISO 9001, FAI, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and 8D tools Strong communicator who builds trust with suppliers and internal teams U.S. Citizenship required Up to 40% domestic travel
