Overview U.S. Electrical Testing specializes in electrical acceptance testing, maintenance testing, and commissioning services for mission-critical facilities, secure environments, commercial and industrial clients, and electrical contractors. Responsibilities Lead and perform inspection, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, and start-up of low and medium voltage electrical distribution equipment, including breakers, transformers, switches, switchgear, relays, and motor control centers, in the field and shop environments. Understand sophisticated electrical distribution systems and operate complex electrical test equipment. Contribute to a safe working environment and project success. Travel locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally as needed. Coordinate and support multiple projects, review documentation, and ensure completeness from receipt to invoice. Test various electrical apparatus including cables, transformers, switchgear, and relays. Manage material costs and eliminate wasteful practices. Participate in emergency on-call duties and respond promptly to emergencies. Promote continuous improvement and teamwork. Install and maintain electronic systems. Identify potential design and installation issues using trade drawings. Qualifications Minimum 5+ years of relevant electrical experience with a high school diploma/GED, 4+ years with an associate's degree, or 3+ years with a bachelor's degree. Valid/active U.S. Work Authorization. Expertise & Knowledge NETA / NICET certification or equivalent experience (preferred). Strong understanding of electrical safety standards (ANSI, IEEE, NETA, NFPA, NEC, OSHA). Ability to interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and manuals. Proficiency with test equipment such as Doble, Omicron, Megger, Vanguard, and Fluke meters. Knowledge of insulation resistance, power factor, contact resistance, and Hi-Pot testing. Understanding of medium and high-voltage systems up to 500kV, including arc flash analysis. Strong troubleshooting skills. Willingness to travel and work in various environments. Ability to work safely and follow industry practices. Perform acceptance and maintenance testing per NETA standards. Conduct protective relay and circuit breaker testing. Troubleshoot faults and analyze root causes. Perform transformer testing. Adhere to safety protocols, including LOTO and PPE. Maintain detailed documentation. Collaborate with team members and clients. Mentor junior technicians. Desired Qualifications OEM certified field service training. Benefits Competitive salary and comprehensive health benefits.
