Industrial Sales Account Manager Trainee – Mobile Hydraulic Solutions SunSource and its family of companies represent 200+ locations and 3,000+ employees, making up one of North America’s leading value‑add industrial distribution companies. We provide customers with products and solutions within Fluid Power, Fluid Process, Fluid Conveyance, General Industrial Components, and Industrial Service & Repair.

We are looking for recent graduates to begin a career applying and selling hydraulics and pneumatics to make our customers’ mobile equipment work more efficiently and intelligently. Successful entry‑level sales candidates will start in our Sales Training Program, Grow Our Own (GO2), at our Mobile Engineering Center in Savage, MN.

Within the first year, you will participate in a rotational development program focused on Fluid Power, learning about products and systems for the Heavy‑Duty Mobile Equipment industry (construction, agriculture, rail, transportation, forestry). You will also learn SunSource’s sales methodology and processes, including prospecting, territory planning, negotiation, and account management. After training, you will be promoted to an Account Manager position, giving you full control of your career.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, agribusiness, or a two‑year degree from a fluid‑power specific program; or one‑to‑two years of related internship experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Desire to pursue a technical sales career.

Strong technical aptitude with mechanical and/or electrical principles on mobile and industrial equipment.

Industrious entrepreneurial spirit with resilience and drive.

Strong communication, presentation, and phone skills, with business etiquette awareness.

Salary range: $55,000 to $65,000 depending on experience, degree, business unit, and geography.
