Key Responsibilities
Direct and manage evidence‑based tobacco cessation programs designed to reduce tobacco and nicotine use across Tennessee.
Convene and collaborate with public health partners, community organizations, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to build capacity and strengthen statewide tobacco control efforts.
Utilize epidemiologic data and program evaluation to inform strategies, monitor progress, and ensure accountability in reducing tobacco‑related burden.
Align program goals with TDH priorities and national best practices to maximize impact on population health.
Requirements The successful candidate will bring strong leadership, strategic planning, and communication skills to drive a comprehensive tobacco cessation agenda. This role offers the opportunity to shape statewide initiatives, improve health outcomes, and reduce the toll of tobacco and vaping on Tennessee communities.
The position will be responsible for advancing smoking cessation initiatives, with a focus on populations experiencing the highest rates of tobacco use.
