As a Part‑Time Security Officer, you’ll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and pick up open shifts based on your availability—giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries.
As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help deter security‑related incidents by conducting routine patrols throughout a residential community. This primarily driving post offers the opportunity to remain visible, interact with residents, and provide outstanding customer service while monitoring the location. You will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment, responding to incidents, and upholding Allied Universal’s values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

What You’ll Do
Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites.
Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education.
Receive site‑specific training and guidance from experienced teams.
Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service.
Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise.
Responsibilities
Provide customer service to residents and guests by carrying out security‑related procedures and site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the residential community and its perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
Monitor entrances, common areas, and amenities to help deter trespassing and unauthorized access.
Document and report any security‑related incidents, maintenance needs, or unusual occurrences to Allied Universal management and/or client contacts as required.
Assist residents and visitors with inquiries and directions while maintaining a visible presence throughout the location.
Work collaboratively with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed during incidents or emergencies.

Availability across various days and shifts.
Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments.
A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company.
Interest in transitioning into full‑time roles when available.
Minimum Requirements
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
The company will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
