Position Summary
Associate Engineer reporting to a senior manager, responsible for leading and supporting R&D projects in the global medical device portfolio.
Own product development from concept through design transfer, ensuring deliverables meet customer, business, and regulatory requirements.
Lead technical decisions, risk management, and design control activities aligned with 21 CFR Part 820 and ISO 13485.
Manage teams across the U.S., Europe, and Asia, cultivating talent and fostering cross‑functional collaboration.
Requirements
B.S. in Engineering or related field with 5+ years of medical device product development experience, or an advanced degree with 2–3 years of equivalent experience.
Demonstrated experience delivering products to market and undertaking large sustaining projects.
Expertise in design controls (21 CFR 820, ISO 13485), risk management (ISO 14971), and regulatory submissions.
Strong communication skills for conveying complex technical concepts to all levels of the organization.
Proven ability to lead teams, influence stakeholders, and make trade‑off decisions.
Preferred Knowledge and Skills
Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) and Systems Engineering (MBSE/SysML) experience.
Statistical tools and methodologies, e.g., Minitab or R.
Design verification planning, testing, and test method development.
Data analytics using Python, PowerBI, or SAP.
Plastics design, fluid mechanics, or high‑volume manufacturing expertise.
