TEKsystems is seeking experienced Java Software Engineers to support a mission‑critical contract at Offutt AFB. This role involves developing and testing full‑stack Java‑based web applications in an Agile/DevSecOps environment supporting the Global Strike and Product Support 2 (GSPS2) program. You’ll contribute to software solutions for the Intelligence, Global Strike, and Nuclear Planning communities.
Key Responsibilities
Develop full‑stack Java/JEE applications
Design and implement RESTful web services using JSON/XML
Work within CI/CD pipelines and Agile/SCRUM methodologies
Collaborate with government stakeholders and PMs
Contribute to mission planning and situational awareness software
Required Skills
Java, Spring Boot, JavaScript, JSP, Struts
Experience with GWT, Ext JS, React/Angular/Vue, CSS, HTML
CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitLab, Gradle, JUnit, Selenium
Application servers: Oracle, Tomcat, WebLogic
UI/UX comprehension and rich presentation layer development
Agile development experience (SCRUM/XP)
Familiarity with Eclipse, JIRA, MagicDraw, Crucible, Fisheye
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with USSTRATCOM Mission Planning/Strike applications
Understanding of domain‑specific models (e.g., missile flight, fratricide)
Systems Engineering experience (requirements, UML, DoDAF)
Experience developing software test plans and documentation
Strong communication and professionalism in fast‑paced environments
Interview Process 2‑step process: Phone interview(s) with TEKsystems hiring team and one interview with defense integrator’s hiring team. Topics include resume walkthrough, software methodology, design patterns, Agile experience, security processes, and hands‑on coding experience.
