The College of Public Service at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) invites applications to establish and maintain an ongoing pool of lecturer applications from which future appointments to temporary, non-tenure track positions for the Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) and Master of Social Work (MSW) programs will be made. The BSW and MSW programs are accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). Accreditation indicates that the program meets criteria for quality assessed through a peer review process. Essential Functions
This is a part-time lecturer position, with appointments made on a semester-by-semester basis. Primarily teach undergraduate-level Social Work courses, with possible occasional graduate-level assignments as needed. Prepare syllabi, develop course content, and manage teaching tasks in alignment with CSWE accreditation standards. Conduct grading and manage student assessments in the learning management system. Teach courses offered in various formats (face-to-face, hybrid, online) and at different times (including day and evening). Please note:

For social work practice courses:
MSW degree from an CSWE-accredited program; at least two years of full-time post-MSW social work practice experience or equivalent. For non-practice courses:
PhD, DSW, MSW, or master’s degree in related field; subject-matter expertise demonstrated by coursework or relevant work experience; and a preference for at least 9 months of teaching and/or professional training experience in Social Work or a related discipline. Experience teaching in multiple formats (face-to-face, hybrid, online) is preferred. Additional Information
Salary: per-course rates vary by course level: 1st & 2nd course = $3,250/course; 3rd & 4th course = $3,450/course; 5th course and beyond = $3,750/course. Work Status: On-site, part-time.
