Overview
Lecturer - Innovation Pool (temporary, non-tenure track) at the College of Letters, Arts and Sciences, University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS). Appointments are part-time (less than 50% time) and made semester-by-semester to support the Innovation program. The posting is for a pool of qualified candidates to teach courses as needed. Courses may be in person or online; work location is determined by course modality.
Responsibilities
Teach various Innovation courses as needed, with instruction that may be in person or online. Support student learning and engagement in assigned courses. Participate in course-related activities and maintain professional standards consistent with University policies. Qualifications
Applicants must have a Masters degree in the field OR significant experience in the field demonstrated by a Letter of Expertise submitted to HR in lieu of transcripts. Letters of Expertise are written by the chair of the department in which the individual will lecture. Appointment Details
Salary/Pay Range: $3,800 per 3-credit hour course. Compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. Exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). Temporary appointment; benefits are limited compared to regular faculty appointments. Sick leave accrues at a rate of 0.034 hours per hour worked. Posting is ongoing; the pool is cleared each May. Applicants may reapply in May if not selected. Work Location
