At Koala Health, we have our eyes set on an ambitious goal: to make managing your pet’s health simple and delightful. We’ve already launched our pharmacy service that allows people to shop for their pets’ medications and supplements online and get them delivered to their doorstep in presorted medication pouches. Now we’re focused on continuing to improve that experience while building a suite of new products and services that will make the pet health experience even better.

We’re looking for a Director, Consumer Marketing to drive customer acquisition, referrals, and elevate retention across channels. This is a data-obsessed, cross-functional role responsible for building a seamless and personalized customer journey: from first touch to long-term loyalty. You’ll combine analytical insight with creativity to understand where we’re winning, where we’re losing, and how to scale sustainable growth. This role will manage a small Marketing team, so prior management experience is a must for success.

What You Will Do:

Own the full E-commerce marketing funnel: from acquisition to conversion to repeat purchase.

Collaborate with Product, Finance & Analytics, and other key teams to optimize every digital touchpoint.

Leverage audience data to inform product positioning, promotions, and retention strategies.

Analyze, and optimize the full marketing funnel to key metrics including CAC-LTV, ROAS.

Drive brand awareness and ensure consistent ownership and application of brand guidelines across all channels.

Manage and maintain the marketing calendar to align campaigns and initiatives across teams.

Develop and implement a co-marketing strategy that empowers partner clinics to promote to their clients through clinic-driven communication channels.

Build and optimize personalized lifecycle journeys using Braze (or similar Marketing platform).

Design and execute segmented campaigns across multiple channels that educate, engage, and convert customers, while managing performance against key KPIs.

Continuously analyze performance to improve engagement and retention metrics.

Develop and manage promotions and referral strategy to drive customer acquisition and retention.

Serve as the organization’s expert on marketing performance, including tracking, AB testing, and interpreting results to guide future investments.

Identify drop-off points in the funnel and develop strategies to reduce churn and increase lifetime value.

Partner with Analytics to design dashboards and reporting that clearly connect marketing activity to growth outcomes.

Lead a small, agile team to execute campaigns efficiently and at scale.

Collaborate across Growth, Product, and Customer Experience teams to ensure brand consistency and operational alignment.

What You Will Bring:

7+ years of proven success in Ecommerce, Growth, and/or Digital Marketing with ownership of customer lifecycle strategy, specifically within veterinary or adjacent healthcare industries.

At least 3+ years of management experience.

Deep expertise in marketing systems and tools (Braze experience strongly preferred).

Analytical mindset with proven ability to translate data into strategy and measurable growth.

A strong mix of strategic vision and hands‑on execution skills.

Highly organized with a bias toward action and measurable results.

Fast moving, adaptable, and capable of thriving in a dynamic environment.

Key Success Metrics:

Customer acquisition rate and cost per acquisition (CPA)

Conversion rates across funnels (website, email, campaigns)

Email open, click, and engagement rates

Repeat purchase rate / customer lifetime value

Churn or drop-off rate at critical journey points

ROI of digital, and non‑digital marketing spend and campaigns
