We are seeking a Data Engineer
to join a Finance and Digital Transformation team, this role is based on the West Coast.
hybrid or fully remote
work arrangements for W2 Employees. This role cannot sponsor and is not offered C2C.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines to ensure efficient and accurate data integration across enterprise systems.
Design and manage finance-focused data models, schemas, and repositories to enable advanced analytics and business intelligence.
Create and maintain reporting and visualization solutions using BI tools such as Power BI, SSRS, or equivalent platforms.
Translate complex business needs into actionable insights, reports, and dashboards that support data-driven decision‑making.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define KPIs, reporting standards, and consistent data definitions across the organization.
Implement data governance, access controls, and data protection standards to ensure integrity and compliance with security policies.
Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows, optimizing performance and resolving bottlenecks.
Contribute to enterprise data strategy and architecture, helping establish best practices for analytics, reporting, and data services.
Mentor junior team members and support knowledge sharing within the broader data engineering community.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in
Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering , or a related discipline.
8+ years
of experience in data warehouse design, ETL/ELT development, and business intelligence solutions.
Advanced proficiency in
SQL , including performance tuning, stored procedures, and indexing.
Experience with
Azure data technologies
(e.g., Synapse, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric) or comparable cloud ecosystems.
Hands‑on experience with
ETL tools
(e.g., Informatica, Talend, SSIS, dbt, or similar).
Expertise in
BI/reporting platforms
(e.g., Power BI, SSRS, Looker).
Strong grasp of
data modeling principles
(star and snowflake schemas, OLAP/OLTP).
Solid understanding of
cloud data architectures
and modern data stack tools.
Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and communication skills.
