Overview David Yurman seeks a dynamic and strategic Director, of Social Media to shape the brand narrative and market presence through innovative social strategies. This position requires a leader with deep social media expertise across all platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Facebook) to define KPIs, understand the social media landscape, trends, and platform dynamics, and craft and execute a comprehensive strategy aligned with business objectives that will deliver reach, engagement, and brand love.

Key Responsibilities

Leverage deep social media expertise to maximize the owned and paid social ecosystem across all platforms to ensure platform‑specific performance.

React to changing consumer engagement, social media, and cultural dynamics including the rise of AI and its impact, rising costs of paid social, and the evolving influencer landscape.

Develop and articulate a clear editorial and storytelling vision aligned with David Yurman’s marketing goals.

Formulate and implement digital and social strategies to enhance followership, visibility, and engagement.

Stay abreast of industry trends and technologies for content and platform innovation.

Craft & Execute Comprehensive Social Campaigns

Lead owned social channel strategies and content plans.

Implement innovative owned and paid social strategies grounded in consumer insights and brand strategy.

Establish an editorial structure to integrate content creation efforts across the organization.

Lead consumer marketing social media efforts, focusing on elevating Instagram and TikTok.

Develop and implement social media campaigns.

Monitor & Optimize Performance

Track customer feedback and industry trends.

Implement data‑driven content topic validation models.

Collaborate Across the Organization

Collaborate with stakeholders and cross‑functional teams to define content pillars and messaging frameworks.

Ensure seamless integration with internal teams including PR, Social Creative, Paid Media, and Leadership.

Collaborate with Social Creative to cultivate content capabilities to produce high‑quality, brand‑aligned content.

Brief Social Creative and external partners on all social content.

Manage relationships with social media platforms and agency partners.

Develop a Strong High Performing Team

Mentor team members across social media, communications, and content creation.

Foster a collaborative work environment and provide ongoing feedback and development opportunities.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field; MBA preferred.

Minimum 6–8 years of experience in social media and social content execution in the luxury fashion/jewelry industry.

Proven track record of developing successful social media campaigns.

Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.

Advanced understanding of social media and digital marketing.

Flexibility and adaptability in a fast‑paced environment.

Dynamic team leader who nurtures collaboration and fosters growth of team members.

Location:

Tribeca, New York.

Hybrid:

3 days in office, 2 days remote.

Compensation:

160k‑175k.
