Team Leads complete and assign work‑specific activities to team members and provide direction, guidance, and training to ensure the completion of these activities. They resolve complex work‑related issues by establishing strong relationships with both internal and external customers.
Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday + OT + Holidays as needed.
Responsibilities
Ensure team members complete necessary specific work‑related activities and assignments on time.
Maintain outstanding internal and external customer service while demonstrating sound communication skills.
Provide direction and guidance to team members by answering questions on any specific work‑related issue(s) or problem(s).
Resolve routine and complex issues relating to the team’s day‑to‑day activities and provide guidance and training on new activities.
Assign work activities based on team members’ skill levels.
Perform a quality audit of completed activities for each team member, including the recording and tracking of results.
Review errors and provide the necessary training for each team member based on results of the audit.
Compile data and complete daily, weekly and monthly reports to ensure quality measurement goals are achieved.
Maintain and control the flow of work to and from other departments.
Compile information and complete a team productivity and quality report.
Work with manager in anticipating and/or identifying any existing problems with an individual team member’s productivity/performance and also with the team as a whole with regard to workflow and productivity output.
Make professional recommendations to management regarding continuous constructive work‑related activities that would further enhance or improve workflow production and results.
Qualifications
High school diploma/GED.
A thorough knowledge of the specific area responsible for and applicable government regulations.
At least 3 years business experience, including 2 years in a brokerage industry and/or customs brokerage working environment, preferred.
1 year in a support or assistance position within a team or individual environment with proven leadership skills in a role that oversees team members.
Strong communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
Ability to maintain strong working relationships with both internal and external customers.
Ability to train and motivate team members to ensure a high optimum flow of work productivity.
