Anchorage:
Engineer/Architect 1: $3,459.75 biweekly; Engineer/Architect 2: $3,699.75 biweekly
Fairbanks:
Engineer/Architect 1: $3,563.25 biweekly; Engineer/Architect 2: $3,810.75 biweekly
Juneau:
Engineer/Architect 1: $3,633.00 biweekly; Engineer/Architect 2: $3,885.00 biweekly
Job Description ATTENTION ALASKA RESIDENTS ONLY!
What you will be doing: We are seeking a professional Engineer/Architect 1/2 to manage concurrent public works construction projects from pre-bid through final records review. Projects range from $500,000 to $25,000,000 and include coordination with consultants, subcontractors, and public stakeholders.

Who we are looking for:
Civil Engineering:
Knowledge of planning, design, construction, operation, and maintenance of public works systems.
Architecture:
Knowledge of planning, design, construction, and maintenance of buildings with aesthetic and functional considerations.
Stakeholder Management:
Ability to identify, engage, influence, and monitor relationships with stakeholders.
Decision Making:
Sound, well-informed decisions and actions to achieve organizational goals.
Facilities:
Knowledge of mechanical, structural, electrical, plumbing, and operational components of a building.
Special Note:
Valid Driver’s License required.
Minimum Qualifications Engineer/Architect 1
– Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) or Architect. If not registered in Alaska, must register in a state recognized by the State Board of Registration for architects, engineers, and land surveyors within one year of hire and sign an agreement to this effect.
Engineer/Architect 2
– Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) or Architect plus one year of professional experience as an Engineer/Architect 1 or equivalent. Non‑Alaska registered professionals must follow the same registration procedure.
Additional Required Information
Three professional references with daytime contact information.
Copy of your Professional Engineer (PE) or Architect license/registration.
A current copy of your driver’s license.
FLEXIBLY STAFFED This position may be filled at either the Engineer/Architect 1 or Engineer/Architect 2 level, depending on the applicant’s training and/or experience. Starting salary will be at the level hired; promotion to Level 2 will occur upon successful completion of the probationary period and required training.
