Position:
Engineer/Architect 1/2 Helps keep Alaska moving by managing public works construction projects from pre‑bid through final records review. Salary (based on location):
Anchorage – Engineer/Architect 1: $3,459.75 biweekly; Engineer/Architect 2: $3,699.75 biweekly. Fairbanks – Engineer/Architect 1: $3,563.25 biweekly; Engineer/Architect 2: $3,810.75 biweekly. Juneau – Engineer/Architect 1: $3,633.00 biweekly; Engineer/Architect 2: $3,885.00 biweekly. Responsibilities
Directly manages concurrent public works construction projects ranging from half‑million to twenty‑five million dollars. Administers projects through on‑site project engineers, consultants, and their staff. Coordinates technical and non‑technical activities, maintains limited budgets, and manages public involvement. Organization & Culture

Position located in Anchorage, Juneau, or Fairbanks. While most work is in the office, frequent travel to remote communities is required. Who we are looking for
Civil Engineering : Knowledge of planning, design, construction, operation, and maintenance of public works systems. Architecture : Knowledge of planning, design, construction, and maintenance of buildings. Stakeholder Management : Skill in identifying, engaging, and monitoring stakeholder relationships. Decision Making : Ability to make sound, informed decisions and commit to action. Facilities : Knowledge of mechanical, structural, electrical, plumbing, and operational components of a building. Special Note
Valid Driver’s License. Minimum Qualifications
Engineer/Architect 1
Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) or Architect. Persons not registered in Alaska must register in a recognized state and agree to become licensed in Alaska within one year. Engineer/Architect 2
Registration as a PE or Architect plus one year of professional experience as an Engineer/Architect 1 or Engineering Associate in Alaska. Same licensing requirement for non‑Alaska registrants. Required Submission
