Job Purpose This role exists to help us ‘Bring Out the Best!’ Reliability Lead will join our Chicago facility where we produce Hellmann’s mayonnaise.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this position is responsible for ensuring the long‑term performance, safety, and efficiency of equipment, systems, and processes. This role involves analyzing failure data, developing maintenance strategies, and implementing reliability improvements to minimize downtime and optimize operations.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze equipment failure modes and root causes to prevent future issues.

Develop and implement predictive and preventive maintenance strategies.

Conduct reliability testing and statistical analysis to assess system performance.

Collaborate with design and maintenance teams to improve equipment reliability.

Document findings and create reports for management and technical teams.

Support the implementation of Reliability‑Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).

Provide training and guidance to maintenance personnel.

Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of reliability initiatives.

Participate in safety or quality reviews and ensure corrective actions are carried out.

Lead the implementation of the new computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).

Lead major maintenance repairs.

Required Qualifications

At least five (5) years of experience in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Bachelor’s Degree required. Strong preference for a technical degree.

At least three (3) years of experience in industrial maintenance.

Strong knowledge of maintenance strategies.

Knowledge of maintenance planning and spare parts management.

Strong troubleshooting skills – 5Y and breakdown analysis.

Excellent communication skills.

Must be capable of working independently and in a team environment.

Proven track record of implementing improvement ideas.

Experience using a CMMS system.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience leading a team.

Experience working cross‑functionally with internal and external stakeholders.

Pay : The pay range for this position is $86,080 to $129,120. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.

Bonus : This position is bonus eligible.

Long‑Term Incentive (LTI) : This position is LTI eligible.
