Adjunct Lecturer – Montessori Department (EDUC 6210)
St. Catherine University welcomes your application for an Adjunct Lecturer position with the Montessori department. Adjunct Lecturers are employed on a per-course basis.
Adjunct Lecturers teach courses within their area(s) of expertise. They teach in-person and online. Adjunct Lecturers who teach didactic instruction may collaborate with, provide direction to, and supervise face‑to‑face lab instructors for labs associated with any course for which they are responsible.
Responsibilities
Contribute to designing course content and evaluate and revise course content and learning experiences to promote student engagement.
Provide excellence in teaching and advising with a diverse student population.
Establish positive relationships with students to promote their success.
Model professional attitudes and behaviors.
Provide prompt, quality feedback and advising to students.
Refer students to support services as appropriate.
Establish (virtual) office hours to accommodate student needs.
Develop and demonstrate learner-centered strategies.
Adhere to the defined grading procedures and standards in accordance with the grading policies of the University.
Conduct the end of semester evaluation of course content and delivery.
Note that there are limits to the number of courses Adjunct Lecturers can teach in one year. Service as an adjunct does not count toward promotion and tenure.

Compensation Compensation:
$5,150 for one full course load. The salary range listed reflects a good‑faith estimate of what we reasonably anticipate to pay for this position, based on market data and internal equity, at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on qualifications, experience, skills, and other relevant factors. St. Catherine reserves the right to modify or adjust compensation depending on University needs.
