Certified Athletic Trainer – Purdue University Northwest – $2,500 Sign‑On Bonus RUSH Physical Therapy is seeking a passionate Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) to provide care to student athletes. This position will support Purdue University Northwest in Hammond, IN. PNW Athletics is a Division II program in the GLIAC Conference with sports including women’s flag football, tennis, baseball, basketball, STUNT, cheerleading, soccer, and men’s and women’s hockey. Specific sport coverage is open for discussion.

Position

Title: Certified Athletic Trainer (Purdue University Northwest)

Location: Hammond, IN

Type of Employment: Full‑time

Schedule: Weekdays/Weekends, typical collegiate ATC hours

Compensation: Starting at $45,000/year, commensurate with experience

Responsibilities

Design and implement therapeutic programs for injured athletes’ rehabilitation.

Determine the need for and administer appropriate athletic training techniques before and during games/practices to decrease risk of injury.

Assess effectiveness of training/rehabilitative techniques and document outcomes.

Manage emergency incidents, coordinate EMS and acute care procedures including basic life support.

Seek outreach opportunities and participate in events to promote the organization.

Qualifications

Minimum: Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree; National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA–BOC) Board of Certification; CPR certification; applicable state license where required.

Preferred: Master’s degree.
