The CCL will assist on the floor with various tasks and also assist with SAFE and team morale.
Responsibilities
The Registered Nurse in the Clinical Care Leader (CCL) role facilitates health care services for patients in cooperation with the health care team. Demonstrates strong clinical reasoning and critical thinking skills to analyze data and appropriately respond to changing situations. Exhibits effective communication skills to collaborate, negotiate, and resolve conflicts with peers, inter-professional colleagues, patients and families. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, clinical support staff and the public. Mentors staff while assisting in facilitating overall clinic activities. Participates and may serve in leadership roles on department/organizational task forces and committees. Utilizes the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation and evaluation) to provide individualized nursing care. Coordinates care, conducts patient assessments, provides patient education, triage, and various other nursing interventions. Collaborates with inter-professional colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement and evaluate care. Demonstrates competency within the full scope of nursing practice and uses population-specific standards as designated in the clinical setting. Functions within the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules of the state of practice and licensure. Documents patient history, symptoms, medications and care provided in compliance with standards/regulations. Uses technology to enhance patient care, collaborates with physicians and inter-professional team members, and delegates to and supervises unlicensed personnel. Assumes overall nursing accountability for patient care. Assists in conducting new staff training and orientation regarding operating rules and working standards. Supports and assists in implementing performance improvement policies and trains employees on these policies. Follows risk management processes and provides training as needed. Maintains knowledge of safety hazards to establish a safe work environment. Continuously learns concepts, processes and tools related to personal development.
Qualifications
Bachelor\'s degree in Nursing strongly preferred in Fargo, Fargo Network, Bemidji, Sioux Falls Network. Required in Bismarck and Sioux Falls (Sanford USD Medical Center and Clinics). Graduate from an accredited nursing program (CCNE, ACEN, or NLN CNEA). Minimum of two years’ clinical experience preferred. Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where practice occurs; multistate licensure acceptable in NLC states. Obtains and maintains required department-specific competencies and certifications. Functions within the legal scope of practice.
