Position Title: Research Technician I - In Vivo Pharmacology

Location: South San Francisco, CA 94080

Duration: 2 Years (Possible extension)

Work Schedule: Shifted schedule - up to 3 weekdays and 2 weekend days

Position Summary

The In Vivo Pharmacology group is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented

Research Technician I

to support the discovery and development of innovative therapeutics, including both small molecules and biologics. This role involves hands-on execution of

in vivo pharmacology studies

and offers opportunities for professional growth and collaboration across multidisciplinary research teams.

Key Responsibilities

Support team members in conducting in vivo pharmacological studies and testing of pharmaceutical agents.

Perform experimental work with mice, including:

Animal handling, restraining, shaving, and dosing via various routes (IV, IP, SC, PO).

Blood and tissue sample collection.

Data collection such as tumor measurements (via caliper), body weight monitoring, and clinical health observations.

Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of experimental data and communicate findings effectively.

Ensure compliance with all applicable

GLP, FDA, USDA, and institutional

regulations.

Adhere to company standards on

safety, ethical conduct, and proper handling of hazardous/biological materials, controlled substances, and animals.

Work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required.

Qualifications & Experience

Required:

High school diploma, Associate, or Bachelor's degree in

Biology, Toxicology, Pharmacology , or a related field.

Minimum of

1 year of hands-on experience working with mice.

Strong team player with excellent communication skills (oral and written).

High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and accurate record-keeping.

Enthusiastic and motivated to learn new techniques, with the ability to troubleshoot and improve processes.

Basic computer literacy.

Preferred:

Experience with

small animal tumor biology studies.

Prior

IACUC laboratory animal training/experience.

Familiarity with

sterile techniques

and

rodent microsurgery.

Proficiency in

Microsoft Office Suite.

Previous

pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry experience.

Additional Information
