Job Summary

Under supervision of the Small Animal Nursing supervisor, clean, disinfect, sanitize and stock assigned areas according to established protocols. Monitor and record patient vital functions; maintain supply inventory and equipment; perform feeding, hospitalization and discharge procedures according to protocol. Apply By Date

Interpersonal skills to work with a diverse group of people including clients, clinicians, students and staff. Skills to maintain inventory of supplies. Preferred Qualifications Experience working as a veterinary assistant in a small animal hospital using safe animal handling and restraint techniques for a wide variety of patients. Skill to assist in the performance of veterinary medical treatments and procedures. Knowledge of common hospital pathogens and methods of disinfection. Knowledge of medical terminology and disease processes. Its primary objectives are to train professional (veterinary) students, graduate clinical students (interns and residents), and graduate academic students; to provide veterinary services to the public; to serve as a referral center for practicing veterinarians, and to advance veterinary medical knowledge.
