Job Summary The
Infrastructure Engineer
is responsible for planning and designing IT services and solutions in collaboration with service providers. This includes mapping business requirements to system and technical needs to ensure compliance with architecture, quality, and security standards. A key focus of this role is
IT Infrastructure in the Operational Technology (OT) context , including shop floor systems, building management, and laboratory systems. This position operates within the
Global IT Infrastructure team
and provides technical support across all sites. The role also ensures service provider performance through KPI/SLA management and enforces adherence to IT security, documentation, and change management best practices.
Key Responsibilities Plan, design, and implement IT infrastructure solutions aligned with business requirements and global standards. Manage and measure service provider performance using KPIs and SLAs. Contribute to architecture blueprints, especially in OT environments. Develop and maintain process, configuration, and design documentation. Ensure compliance with IT security and change management policies. Perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions for infrastructure issues. Prioritize and resolve technical issues independently while maintaining strong customer focus. Support continuous improvement and drive innovation within infrastructure domains.
Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Proven ability to define, select, implement, and manage infrastructure standards and services. Hands-on experience across multiple infrastructure technologies, including: Networking:
Cisco switches and wireless controllers Virtualization:
VMware vSphere, Nutanix AHV Containerization:
Kubernetes, Docker, Podman (highly desired) Operating Systems:
Senior-level Windows Server (required), advanced Linux (highly desired) Automation:
Infrastructure task automation (PowerShell, Bash) Active Directory & Group Policy Backup & DR:
Veeam, Acronis, and disaster recovery planning Storage & File Services Citrix / Windows Remote Desktop Services (basic knowledge) Database fundamentals

Additional Requirements Strong customer service and problem-solving mindset. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills. Project management and prioritization abilities. Familiarity with ITIL framework and service delivery metrics.
