Position Overview: A nationally recognized mechanical and industrial contractor is seeking a Superintendent to oversee field operations for construction projects in Charleston, SC. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with a strong background in managing crews, maintaining safety standards, and delivering high-quality work on schedule. Key Responsibilities: Direct and supervise daily field operations, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project plans and specifications. Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and vendors to maintain workflow and resolve issues. Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance. Monitor labor productivity, material usage, and equipment needs to optimize performance. Maintain accurate documentation including daily reports, timekeeping, and progress tracking. Serve as the primary on-site contact for client representatives and inspectors. Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in construction supervision, preferably in mechanical or industrial sectors. Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage diverse teams. Proven track record of delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget. Familiarity with construction scheduling and reporting tools. OSHA certification and strong knowledge of safety regulations.
