Waters is seeking a dynamic
Senior Product Marketing Manager
to lead global marketing and product management activities focused on
Food & Environmental (F&E) Market
and Managing the
HPLC columns portfolio . This highly visible, cross-functional role will drive product strategy, go-to-market execution, and new product commercialization for Waters’ HPLC column lines and support the F&E Market
The ideal candidate has
deep technical expertise in chromatography (HPLC/UPLC) and LC-MS methods , combined with strong business acumen and an ability to translate scientific needs into differentiated product and marketing strategies. This role is best suited for a self-directed leader who thrives on blending technical understanding with strategic marketing execution to help customers ensure food safety, environmental compliance, and analytical integrity.
This position reports to the
Senior Manager, Marketing & Product Management – Small Molecule
and requires domestic and international travel of up to 30%.
Responsibilities
Lead F&E Strategy & Roadmap:
Define, evolve, and execute the Food & Environmental chromatography Column product strategy in alignment with Waters’ broader Chemistry and Lab Automation portfolio.
Product Line Ownership:
Serve as the global business owner for assigned
HPLC columns , overseeing performance, lifecycle management, and innovation planning.
Method Development & Application Expertise:
Partner with scientists, application specialists, and customers to translate
method development challenges
into new product concepts, applications data, and customer-driven value propositions.
Go-to-Market Leadership:
Develop and execute comprehensive
go-to-market (GTM) strategies
for new product launches, including segmentation, pricing, positioning, and promotional planning tailored to the F&E market.
Voice of Customer & Business Case Development:
Gather customer insights and application trends to build personas, quantify value, and develop business cases that justify and prioritize new product initiatives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with field marketing, sales, R&D, and regional business units to ensure alignment and adoption of F&E chromatography solutions globally.
Competitive Intelligence & Positioning:
Maintain awareness of industry trends, technologies, and competitors to position Waters as the preferred partner in regulatory testing and analytical laboratories.
Training & Enablement:
Develop sales and technical enablement materials to elevate field competencies in chromatography workflows relevant to food safety and environmental testing.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or advanced degree in
Chemistry, Biochemistry, Analytical Science , or related scientific field; MBA or business training a plus.
4+ years of experience
in product management, marketing, or technical roles supporting
chromatography or LC-MS solutions , preferably within the
Food & Environmental
testing market.
Demonstrated experience with
HPLC/UPLC method development , validation, and optimization.
Proven success in developing and executing
go-to-market strategies
for technical products.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex scientific concepts into compelling marketing narratives.
Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams globally.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 30%.
