Overview
Vice President, Site Reliability Engineering at Fidelity Investments. This role leads stability and reliability for the Fidelity Brokerage Platform within Brokerage Recordkeeping Technology (BRT) R4, shaping vision, strategy and prioritization with other key initiatives to deliver a resilient platform. Responsibilities
Establish a resilient platform that embraces high organizational standards Appropriately manage and communicate production support issues to ensure all levels of the organization understand the impact of an event Identify, understand, and communicate production health metrics (e.g., 24-hour health status) Manage end-to-end changes with emphasis on identifying capacity concerns Enforce change control to ensure what goes into production is resilient and reliable Manage resiliency reviews and scorecards Advocate best practices for resiliency, availability, observability, and proactive issue detection Lead and develop team leads to create learning opportunities and foster skill development Assess trends and share insights across the core brokerage organization Drive enterprise-wide alignment through collaboration and knowledge sharing The Expertise And Skills You Bring
Workflow management background to identify and implement new behaviors Strong understanding of building a resilient platform with appropriate monitoring tools Influencing skills to teach others about platform stability Ability to establish platform standards across all levels of the organization Deep understanding of the operational brokerage platform and risks related to outages Experience with agile practices to maximize business value while maintaining long-term focus Proven leadership as an inspirational people leader, capable of setting strategic direction and delivering results Continuous improvement mindset and agile mindset Strong communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skills across Fidelity Data-driven decision making for day-to-day leadership and strategic tradeoffs Balance of technology and non-technology skills to address broad customer needs Experience leading multiple teams, balancing competing needs, and delivering favorable results The Team
