Job Summary
Estrella Mountain Community College (EMCC) is hiring a Computer Lab Program Analyst to work in the college computer laboratory. This position provides oversight and administration of the Computer Commons, working closely with the Director to develop strategic plans, set program goals, and manage budget administration. Other duties include staff scheduling, marketing, data analysis as well as working with college divisions and departments to assist students.
Essential Functions
30% - Provides lead coordination and supervision to staff in the Computer Commons in a face-to-face and online environment to include planning, developing, and implementing related functions, projects, scheduling, marketing, and activities; supervises assigned non-exempt regular staff.
25% - Plans and supervises the operations for scheduled tutoring, and coordinates the computer lab and software/hardware utilization in collaboration with Information Technology; collaborates with Student Affairs and with Information Technology to serve students with hardware and software, applications, etc.
20% - Plans, organizes and assigns the work of full and part-time staff; mentors and coaches staff on tutoring best practices; collaborates with faculty to ensure adequate reinforcement of classroom instruction across the curriculum; utilizes appropriate software and technology in order to execute responsibilities (MS office programs, Canvas, TutorTrac, Cranium Cafe and/or equivalent).
15% - Contributes to the development and implementation of tutoring initiatives and other learning support activities; assists in the maintenance of department records, tracking platforms, small and large group presentations about the department services; marketing, data analysis; maintains close relationships with academic divisions and service departments, and cooperates with faculty to assist students.
10% - Performs other duties as assigned commensurate to grade level of position
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in education, business, or public administration, or directly related field, and two (2) years of full-time equivalent related program management experience, preferably in an educational setting.
OR
Associate's degree from a regionally accredited institution in education, business, or public administration, or directly related field, and four (4) years of full-time equivalent related program management experience, preferably in an educational setting.
An equivalent combination of the conferred degree and directly related full-time work experience as described above sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation, may be considered .
Desired Qualifications
1. Two (2) or more years of lead or supervisory experience, including staff coordination, coaching, observation and evaluation of staff and/or projects.
2. Two (2) years of customer service experience with a high degree of contact with academic divisions, student services, and the public.
3. Two (2) years experience working in an academic affairs or students services college setting (tutoring and/or computer lab preferred) implementing support service procedures and best practices.
4. One (1) years experience with budget creation, tracking, and expense management.
5. One (1) or more years experience creating, analyzing, and interpreting data reports to support decision-making.
6. One (1) or more years experience coordinating activities such as workshops, and/or conducting presentations.
7. Two (2) years of experience using administrative and instructional support learning assistance technologies (e.g.,TutorTrac, Canvas, Blackboard, LMS, etc.), MS Office, including video tutorials and presentations as it applies to this
position.
Special Working Conditions
May require evenings and weekends.
This position will work in-person.
