Job Summary Estrella Mountain Community College (EMCC) is hiring a Computer Lab Program Analyst. The analyst provides oversight and administration of the department, working closely with the Director to develop strategic plans, set program goals, and manage budget administration.
Essential Functions 50% – Lead Coordination and Supervision:
Provides lead coordination and supervision to staff in the Computer Common in a face‑to‑face and online environment. This includes planning, developing, implementing related functions, projects, scheduling, marketing, and activities; plans and supervises tutoring operations; coordinates the computer lab and software/hardware utilization in collaboration with Information Technology; collaborates with Student Affairs and IT to serve students, and supervises assigned non‑exempt regular staff.
25% – Staff Management and Instructor Collaboration:
Plans, organizes, and assigns work of full‑time and part‑time staff. Mentors and coaches staff on tutoring best practices; collaborates with faculty to ensure adequate reinforcement of classroom instruction across the curriculum; utilizes appropriate software and technology (MS Office, Canvas, TutorTrac, Cranium Cafe, etc.).
15% – Program Development and Marketing:
Contributes to the development and implementation of tutoring initiatives and other learning support activities; assists in the maintenance of department records, tracking platforms, and data analysis; maintains relationships with academic divisions and service departments; cooperates with faculty to assist students.
10% – Other Duties:
Performs other duties as assigned commensurate to grade level of position.
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution in education, business, or public administration, or directly related field, and two (2) years of full‑time equivalent related program management experience, preferably in an educational setting.
OR
Associate’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution in education, business, or public administration, or directly related field, and four (4) years of full‑time equivalent related program management experience, preferably in an educational setting.
An equivalent combination of the degree and directly related full‑time work experience suffices unless otherwise required by law or regulation.
Desired Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or certificate in Computer Science, Education, or related field, or a bachelor’s degree with a strong emphasis in Computer Science from an accredited institution.
Two (2) or more years of experience with CIS, CNT, and CSC courses, using technology to impact student learning.
Two (2) or more years’ experience working in a comprehensive learning center in a higher‑education setting, collecting, interpreting, and presenting statistical data.
Two (2) years of experience using administrative and instructional support technologies (e.g., TutorTrac, Canvas, Blackboard, LMS, MS Office), including video tutorials and presentations.
Two (2) years of experience as a team leader or directing the work of others.
Two (2) years’ experience with tutoring best practice and active learning teaching styles for computer courses for a diverse student population in a learning center.
Special Working Conditions May require evenings and weekends. May require prolonged periods of sitting, standing, bending, stooping, lifting up to 20‑pound objects with or without reasonable accommodation, and prolonged viewing of CRT computer monitors.
