Overview
The Senior Marketing Business Partner leads the marketing development within the western part of the United States for Terracon, covering the states of Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, Nevada, California, Oregon, Washington, Montana, Wyoming and Idaho. This role is a member of the national (corporate) marketing team and reports to the CMO. The position is 100% dedicated to elevating marketing practices across the region, focusing on pursuit development, event strategy, research, digital marketing, and marketing communications materials, as well as proposal and pursuit execution. The role is strategic and hands-on, providing guidance to elevate marketing programs in offices across the region.
The position is described as remote, with responsibilities aligned to supporting regional and national marketing excellence and consistency.
Responsibilities
Build relationships with marketing and client development teams, advising on tools, best practices, and available resources (marketing tools and collateral, public relations, CRM enhancements, and digital campaigns).
Oversee consistency efforts in Operations, including quality control, onboarding strategy, training resources, overall marketing structure, and leadership development.
Communicate growth strategies and marketing tactics developed at the national level to the regions and local offices where applicable; partner with marketing professionals and senior leaders in the region.
Coordinate with the corporate marketing and communications department to engage resources in digital, PR, graphic design, and other areas; provide direction to the graphic design team to prioritize, plan, and produce impactful materials.
Collaborate with Operating Group client development teams on priority major pursuit strategy, including activities, proposals, interview coaching, and mentoring; ensure deadlines are met with high quality; engage APRs/SMEs, ASLDs, Finance, Legal, Safety, etc. on major pursuits at their onset.
Train, coach, and mentor teams on coordinating a war room, building the pursuit team, establishing goals, and managing the team to increase chances of winning major pursuits.
Collaborate with Operations leadership to develop and drive marketing plans aligned with regional business and growth plans.
Act as a subject matter expert (SME) and quality reviewer for pre-sell materials, statements of qualifications, and presentations.
Promote continuous quality monitoring and improvement on projects and processes; monitor quality standards and practices.
Champion initiatives affecting client development and marketing.
Stay informed on the latest research, trends, and industry topics, and provide regional market data and leadership through research and resources.
Organize and track national thought leadership and award efforts; coordinate with graphic design for impactful materials.
Understand project risks and be familiar with company risk policies to protect the Company.
Support the M&A team with marketing perspectives and lead marketing-specific tasks of integration plans for acquisitions within the region.
Lead safety efforts for the team, model safe work practices, and promote pre-task planning for all projects.
Requirements
Candidates must be located within one of the western states listed above.
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or related field with 12 years of related experience; or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 16 years of related experience.
Demonstrated experience in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry.
Master’s degree preferred.
Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.

The national standard salary range for this position is $101,200-$156,900. The base range may be adjusted based on location; final compensation is based on qualifications and experience.
