KPMG is seeking a VDI Lead Engineer to join our Digital Nexus technology organization. This hybrid role supports Virtual Desktop Infrastructure across multiple geographic locations and network enclaves. Work closely with internal Virtualization Operations and Engineering teams to gather requirements and deploy appropriate tools; provide technical leadership in the development, integration, and testing of the Virtual Desktop Infrastructure, supporting multiple geographic locations, network enclaves, and virtual desktop pools Offer input on the overall technology plan for the organization, ensuring specific technologies integrate effectively with other aspects of the network security technical infrastructure; collaborate with different technology teams and vendors delivering complete networking solutions Design, upgrade, test, and modify the VDI environment based on capacity and utilization requirements; troubleshoot and correct detected or reported system and network faults or outages; maintain knowledge of current industry directions and trends; deliver technology and products on the roadmap on schedule and with high quality Provide expert advice and guidance to carry out plans and procedures; ensure product development process adherence, performance and budget targets are met; deliver last-tier support for operations and support teams, including root cause and preventative analyses Build configuration management, service provisioning, inventory management, resource management, process automation, visibility, and self-service tools; provide training and guidance to other members of the Virtualization Operations and Engineering teams Act with integrity and professionalism to uphold KPMG’s respectful and courteous work environment Qualifications
Minimum five years of recent experience supporting and engineering Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops environments; knowledge of CVAD architecture, components, and best practices for non-persistent and persistent environments including Citrix Provisioning (PVS) and Machine Creation Services (MCS) deployments and image management Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is preferred; a high school diploma or GED is required Knowledge of profile management technologies (e.g., Ivanti UWM, FSLogix); working knowledge of Citrix XenServer and VMware ESXi; strong troubleshooting skills across Citrix and Windows OS in enterprise environments Experience with enterprise monitoring tools for Citrix environments (e.g., Citrix Director/Monitor, ControlUp); knowledge of Citrix Cloud/Citrix DaaS and cloud hosting platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP), preferably Azure; familiarity with Citrix ADC (NetScaler) and Citrix Gateway Service and networking (switches, firewalls, proxy servers) to support VDI connectivity and troubleshooting Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment; scripting and automation experience (PowerShell or similar) is helpful Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future Legal and Benefits Information
