Join a top manufacturer in the automotive industry. They are seeking a high-performing Materials Manager to join their dynamic team in Chicago. Responsibilities
Oversee all materials planning, procurement, and inventory control functions to ensure uninterrupted production and optimal supply chain efficiency in accordance with APICS best practices. Develop and execute MRP/ERP-driven materials strategies that align with CPIM and CPM standards for cost control, lead time reduction, and just-in-time delivery. Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and evaluate vendor performance to support continuous improvement and quality compliance in line with ISO/TS 16949 requirements. Lead cross-functional teams in demand forecasting, capacity planning, and scheduling to meet production targets while maintaining optimal inventory levels. Implement lean inventory systems, standardize processes, and train staff in effective materials management and supply chain optimization. Qualifications
10+ years of relevant experience, including management Bachelor\'s degree in a related field Preferred: CPIM (Certified in Planning and Inventory Management), CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager), or APP (Associate Professional in Supply Chain Management) Experience with Bailed Material Operation Career opportunities for growth and development Competitive salary based on experience Annual bonus based on performance Health care & benefits package Application notes
