Oversee day-to-day city operations and implement council policies Provide leadership in municipal finance, budgeting, and infrastructure planning Engage with the community and manage intergovernmental relations Communicate effectively with staff, elected officials, and stakeholders to navigate change Qualifications
Required
Bachelor’s degree in public administration, political science, business, finance, or related field Minimum of eight years in municipal government, with at least three years in a department director, Assistant City Manager, or City Manager role Strong financial management and budgeting skills Residency within Madison County Preferred
Master’s in Public Administration Three to five years in an executive municipal leadership role ICMA-CM or Certified Public Manager credential highly desired Experience in grant writing/administration, strategic planning, community development, and team leadership The City of Madisonville offers a salary of
