About This Position

The Technology and Transformation Department (TTD/TTD) and the Technology & Data Assurance Division (TTD/TDA) are seeking to hire an experienced professional to work as a team member at the Enterprise Architecture Team on application portfolio management. The Enterprise Architect Consultant will provide tactical and strategic direction in the areas of business architecture, value streams, systems/applications mapping, and visualization, with focus on application catalog data quality and application rationalization opportunities.

Responsibilities

Support on best practices for Enterprise Architecture, Portfolio Management, and FINOPS, including Meta Model governance, cost optimization, and system monitoring.

Guide the evolution of application inventory to align with the Bank’s enterprise architecture, digital strategy, and financial operations objectives.

Develop and maintain models of IT components (conceptual, logical, and physical) based on requirements, current systems, and FINOPS considerations.

Report on business architecture, including management, operational, and financial aspects relevant to the organization.

Provide support for entities governance using Domain Driven Design, establish standards for business capabilities, and ensure FINOPS principles are incorporated.

Design and deliver training in business architecture, Lean IX, and FINOPS for internal teams.

Gather and review business and IT requirements, offering technical and financial guidance for enterprise-wide alignment.

Drive data quality of published assets, support digital initiatives, and promote FINOPS practices for cost transparency.

Test, debug, and prepare documentation in accordance with company standards, applicable regulations, and FINOPS policies.

Oversee the product backlog, facilitate Scrum ceremonies, and ensure agile and FINOPS best practices are followed to drive project delivery and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Education: Master’s degree from an accredited university in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or another relevant field.

Experience: At least 5 years of experience with architecture background while being well-versed in modern cloud-based and microservices architecture; knowledge of theories and frameworks of enterprise architecture; industry knowledge in the enterprise architecture area and technology stacks.

Additional Education/Experience: Knowledge of AI and generative AI technologies as they relate to Business Analyst tasks, and their possible use in a workplace environment. Familiarity with ethical considerations and the responsible application of AI.

Languages: Proficiency in English and one of the other Bank official languages (Spanish, French or Portuguese).

Requirements

Citizenship: You are a citizen of one of our 48-member countries. Relocation and visa assistance may be offered for you and eligible dependents.

Consanguinity: No family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.

Type of contract and duration International consultant, Full-Time, 12 months. The contract can be renewed for up to 36 months based on performance and business needs.
