Salary Full-Time, Temporary (12-Month Contract – Potential to Extend, Benefits Eligible) The Salesforce Administrator manages, enhances, and supports Salesforce across all business units—Brokerage, Xpand, and Investment Services. This role ensures Salesforce functions as the single source of truth for client, deal, and financial data, driving automation, scalability, and clean reporting across the organization. Approximately
50%
of time is dedicated to delivering system enhancements from the development backlog,
30%
to daily end-user support and bug resolution, and
20%
to managing integrations and third-party vendors supporting large-scale enhancements and add-ons. Responsibilities: System Enhancements & Declarative Development
Design, build, and deploy Flows, Screen Flows, DLRS, validation rules, record types, and dynamic page layouts. Maintain and extend custom metadata types, custom settings, and formula fields for scalable configurations. Manage custom objects, relationships, and record-triggered logic aligned with architecture standards. Support API and middleware integrations, ensuring data consistency across connected systems. Evaluate and implement AppExchange add-ons, ensuring secure configuration and ROI alignment. Partner with VP of Operations to prioritize & execute items from the enhancement backlog, including process improvements, data model updates, and UI optimizations. Test, document, and deploy all changes using sandbox environments and structured release management. User Support & System Maintenance
Serve as the primary contact for Salesforce end-users, providing troubleshooting, training, bug fixes, and small enhancements. Create and maintain reports, dashboards, and list views to support data-driven decision-making. Manage profiles, permission sets, public groups, queues, and sharing rules. Perform data imports, deduplication, and data quality monitoring using Data Loader and DataGroomr. Gather & analysis user feedback to inform prioritization of enhancements and training needs. Maintain current documentation for automations, data schema, and governance standards. Administer and maintain system integrations between Salesforce, Buildout, QuickBooks, MuleSoft, Rippling, Zapier, DocuSign, MCAE Pardot, ZoomInfo, Smarty and other connected tools. Partner with VP of Operations and external vendors on large-scale enhancements, API updates, or data mapping changes. Evaluate and manage new AppExchange packages or middleware solutions that extend Salesforce functionality. Coordinate testing and implementation of vendor-delivered solutions, ensuring alignment with internal processes and data integrity standards. Security, Governance & Compliance
Manage user authentication, login security, and audit trails. Conduct regular data and permission audits to ensure compliance with internal policies and NC Real Estate Commission standards. Monitor system performance, storage, integration logs, and proactively address issues. Maintain documentation of system architecture, data flow diagrams, and governance frameworks. Qualifications
Salesforce Administrator Certification, Advanced Administrator Certification, and Platform App Builder Certification required. 3–5 years of Salesforce administration experience supporting complex, multi-object, integrated environments. Advanced proficiency in Flow Builder, Custom Metadata, Dynamic Forms, and Record-Triggered Automation. Experience managing or integrating with (preferred): Buildout (API and data sync) MuleSoft or other middleware tools Marketing Cloud, Avestor, and DocuSign Strong knowledge of AppExchange applications, sandbox management, and change set deployment. Solid understanding of data models, relationships, validation rules, and formula logic. Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with a focus on root-cause resolution. Clear, effective communicator who can translate technical concepts for end-users and leadership.
