Territory Development Executive - Heavy Truck Software CDK Global is a leading provider of cloud-based software to dealerships and Original Equipment Manufacturers ("OEMs") across automotive and related industries. The company’s SaaS platform enables dealerships to manage end‑to‑end business operations, including acquisition, sale, financing, insuring, repair, and maintenance of vehicles, by automating critical workflows to improve financial and operational performance.
Position Summary
The Territory Development Executive with our Heavy Truck division creates business relationships and increases revenue by retaining and growing business with existing customers and expanding market share through conquest sales via face-to-face activities. Works with channel partners to increase sales opportunities in CDK Strategic Products. Achieves the annual assigned sales plan under the guidance of the Director of Sales.
Territory:
Eastern PA, NY, NJ, CT, MA, RI, DE. Must live in territory to be considered.
Position Responsibilities & Essential Functions
Set clear, measurable performance goals to achieve a sales quota
Identify new opportunities with existing customers
Increase market share through conquest sales
Grow and maintain existing accounts
Generate significant revenue and profit growth using a disciplined, process-oriented approach
Develop an overall sales plan and forecast short- and long-term sales results
Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of specific CDK products and their functionality
Interface and collaborate with internal teams through the sales and implementation process
Understand the industry segment and stay informed about competitor developments in the market and/or territory
Focus on a consultative relationship with the client by understanding their unique business needs and presenting integrated solutions
Diagnose and resolve customer concerns in a timely manner with appropriate resolutions
Qualifications & Job Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of B2B selling, preferably with new business development experience selling into Heavy Truck Dealerships
OR Minimum of 5 years of B2B selling, preferably with new business development experience selling network security systems, DMS systems or complex software systems
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Experience growing market share through conquest sales
Experience targeting and penetrating key prospects and influencing decision makers
Demonstrated ability in building and maintaining client relationships
Experience using consultative solution selling to align client’s business needs with a solution
Ability to negotiate and close opportunities
Ability to manage a complex sales process and provide customer support based on client needs
Know how to develop and manage a sales territory
Persuasive written and verbal communication skills
Strong presentation skills
Experience using a CRM system
Ability to travel 80% or more, including overnight travel
Preferred Attributes & Qualifications
Experience in Automotive retail or selling into the automotive vertical or knowledge of automotive, finance/insurance, and technology industries
Influential, relationship builder
Good time management skills
Initiative and self-starter
Compensation & Benefits Salary = $100,000 + Uncapped Commissions

The total package may include annual performance bonus, benefits, and/or other incentive plans.
