Overview We are seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer (NPI). In this role, you will be responsible for New Product Introduction (NPI) into manufacturing from the development phase through release to production, product quality monitoring and reporting, engaging in weekly product meetings, supporting new customer and/or product opportunities on a cross-functional team, and supporting first-time right initiatives. This on-site position is located at our Headquarters in Oak Creek, WI. You will report directly to the Senior Manager, Manufacturing & Process Engineering.
Responsibilities
Project management of electro-mechanical NPI projects
Creates PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) to understand process risk analysis of new product
Input estimated labor times and monitor actual labor times
Support the quoting process providing labor estimates
Support design for manufacturability
Setup and maintain manufacturing product structures in ERP system
Work with process engineering to drive document completion: routings, build instructions, etc.
Facilitate pre-build meetings and drive for completion of NPI Build Readiness Checklists
Assure build materials and tools are available to meet project schedules
Support NPI builds to meet project schedule requirements
Represent manufacturing operations at weekly product meetings with the cross-functional team
Support new customer proposals by providing compliance information
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science Degree in electronic or mechanical engineering from an accredited institution
Minimum four years of relevant NPI engineering experience
Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and group presentations)
Exhibits interpersonal skills necessary to lead a team and work across departments in the organization respectfully
Desired Qualifications
Experience in an ISO-9001 certified manufacturing environment
Experience with FAA-certified product development and manufacturing
Experience working in an electro-mechanical manufacturing environment
Experience in project management
