Overview
RN Med Surg Clinical Nurse Coordinator opportunity at Los Robles Regional Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare. The CNC ensures and delivers high quality, patient-centered care and coordination of all functions in the unit/department during the designated shift, directing, monitoring, and evaluating nursing care in accordance with policies/procedures. The role supports the organization’s vision/mission/values to enhance patient experience and clinical outcomes. Responsibilities
Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality, patient-centered care. Participates in ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services within the unit, in collaboration with the management team. Collaborates with subject matter experts and managers to foster teamwork that improves outcomes and service. Supports a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when necessary. Implements nursing strategies to improve engagement (e.g., employee rounding, hourly rounds) and other initiatives. Provides recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff; supports training, development, conflict resolution, policy compliance, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions as needed. Assists with staff scheduling and manages labor in accordance with patient care needs and productivity guidelines. Supports inventory control and assists with managing supplies and equipment. Qualifications
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date. Registered Nurse (RN) license required. Benefits
