Senior Consultant - US Private Equity at H&P
We are partnering with an established private equity firm based in the heart of
New York City , managing approximately
$4 billion in assets under management . With a strong history of disciplined investing and operational value creation, the firm is recognized for its collaborative culture, partnership-oriented style, and commitment to driving long-term growth in its portfolio companies. Position Overview The fund is seeking a Private Equity Associate to join its NYC office. This role offers an exceptional opportunity for motivated investment professionals to gain broad, end-to-end deal experience across industries while working closely with senior investors, management teams, and advisors. Key Responsibilities Support all phases of the investment process including due diligence, valuation, financial modelling, industry research, and transaction structuring Conduct market analyses to identify attractive opportunities across various sectors Prepare and present investment memoranda and recommendations to the investment committee Partner with portfolio company leadership on value creation initiatives, operational improvements, and strategic growth projects Monitor portfolio company performance, analysing both financial and operational KPIs Build and maintain relationships with bankers, advisors, and industry contacts to support sourcing and deal flow Ideal Candidate Profile 2–3 years of Investment Banking experience (M&A, leveraged finance, or coverage groups strongly preferred) - tech or media Top-tier banks are preferred Solid financial modelling, valuation, and analytical capabilities Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment Strong communication and presentation skills; proven ability to contribute within lean deal teams Genuine interest in private equity investing and supporting company growth Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field (top-tier university preferred) Compensation Competitive base salary + performance-based bonus
