Overview
Cloud Computing Application Architect On our team, you'll design a secure, cloud-based communications network to support mission-critical operations. This role builds cloud-based technical architecture to meet client needs and leverage cloud capabilities, with a focus on national defense projects. You will collaborate with migration teams to inform strategy and design, ensure standards are met during cloud migrations, and recommend tools and solutions based on current environments and knowledge of on-premise, cloud-based, and hybrid resources. You will lead your team as they help the client overcome their most difficult challenges in the cloud, and broaden your skills in automation and cloud-based security while developing critical systems for national defense. Design and implement cloud-native applications using microservices, serverless functions, API gateways, and containers (Docker, Kubernetes). Design and implement computer and information networks (LANs, WANs, intranets, extranets) and other data communications networks. Perform network modeling, analysis, and planning. Develop CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions. Automate server configuration using Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or SaltStack. Apply cloud security best practices, including IAM, network security, data encryption, vulnerability management, and security auditing. Maintain or obtain required security clearances as specified. Support education and experience requirements: Bachelor\'s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems with 4+ years of software engineering experience, or 9+ years of software engineering experience in lieu of a degree. Experience with space systems or satellite communications. Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM Templates, or other Infrastructure as Code tools. Experience configuring and managing virtual networks, subnets, routing, firewalls, load balancers, DNS, and related components in a cloud environment. Knowledge of AWS Cloud Edge Global Access (CEGA) framework. Ability to work in development environments using JavaScript and AWS CDK. TS/SCI clearance and/or Master\'s degree. AWS Certification such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate. Clearance

Compensation range: $86,800.00/yr - $198,000.00/yr.
