Monitor Technician, Night Shift, Heart and Vascular Unit. Base pay range listed in the job description. White Oak Medical Center seeks to hire a Monitor Technician for our Heart and Vascular Unit who will support monitoring and patient care aligned with the mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing. Responsibilities

Documents rhythm on EKG flow sheet and immediately reports any change in cardiac rhythm to the nurse. Obtains strips on irregularities. Maintains charge requisitions on monitored patients. Notifies nursing personnel of the need for replacement of patient electrodes and/or newly monitored patients to be connected. Maintains safe and effective operation of the Monitoring Console at all times. Ensures paper loaders are full and monitors assigned telemetry console. Obtains monitor strips at the start of each shift, interprets strips, dates and times each strip, and places it on the flow sheet. Participates in multidisciplinary quality and service improvement teams. Provides verbal reports to relief personnel and patient reports to oncoming technicians. Verifies and adjusts alarm limits as established for the levels appropriate to the individual patient and ensures alarms are on at all times. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required 1-year experience with emergency situations and maintaining continuous strips of cardiac rhythms Completion of the Monitor Technician Program within 6 months of hire Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Work Schedule

7:00pm–7:00am, 36 hours per week Pay

Base pay range: $19.21/hr - $24.90/hr Benefits
