Overview
Sr Manager - Fulfillment Process Engineering. We are looking for a Sr Manager - Fulfillment Process Engineering to join our Fulfillment & Logistics team. This role will play a vital part in optimizing end-to-end cold chain processes, from production handoff to last-mile delivery, improving efficiency, quality, and scalability across our multi-site fulfillment network. Responsibilities
Evaluate and enhance cold chain fulfillment workflows to reduce quality defects including missing meals, incorrect meal placement, broken seals, and missing packages. Develop SOPs and standard work for operation of sealing machines, sleeving stations, and other critical fulfillment equipment to improve consistency and reduce human error. Partner with operations leaders to roll out process improvements and programs that enhance the handoff from fulfillment to logistics — including packaging validation, temperature control checkpoints, and loadout readiness. Create training documentation and visual work instructions to standardize best practices across fulfillment centers. Lead cross-functional root cause analysis initiatives for recurring quality or efficiency issues; implement countermeasures and follow-through audits. Support layout optimization of fulfillment lines and cold pack areas to improve flow, reduce dwell time, and increase packaging throughput. Establish performance dashboards and KPIs to track packaging accuracy, seal integrity, and cold chain compliance across the network. Partner with design and maintenance teams to influence equipment upgrades and new site layouts based on observed performance gaps. Lead Kaizen events or structured continuous improvement cycles across fulfillment centers focused on operational and quality gains. Train and mentor site leaders and team members on process control, lean methodologies, and six sigma tools. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Supply Chain) or related STEM field. 5+ years of hands-on experience in process engineering within cold chain, logistics, food, pharmaceutical, or fulfillment industries. Proven track record leading large-scale process improvement initiatives in a distributed operations network. Ability to thrive in high-velocity environments, balancing strategy with hands-on problem solving. Willingness to travel 25–50% across CookUnity’s fulfillment sites. Preferred Requirements
Master’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Business. Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher). Experience designing fulfillment or production layouts involving temperature-sensitive products and packaging equipment. Proficient in data analysis tools, simulation software, and process documentation tools (e.g., Tableau, Minitab, AutoCAD, Lucidchart). Experience collaborating across functions (Design, Ops, Quality, Logistics) to implement enterprise-wide process changes. Strong communication skills and ability to influence without authority. Benefits & Compensation
Salary range for this position: $120,000—$130,000 USD. All final pay rates will be determined by candidate experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, internal equity, and market data. Benefits include medical coverage, 401k, stock options from Day 1, bi-annual performance bonus, unlimited PTO, a 5-year sabbatical (4 weeks after 5 years), paid family leave, compassionate leave, CookUnity credits, wellness perks, and access to a Spanish coach.
