is responsible for developing and directing the Sanitation program and ensuring that all current Food Safety Standards are met within the assigned Customer Service Center (CSC). The role implements, inspects, monitors, and verifies sanitation and food safety systems, ensures staff competencies, verifies sanitation effectiveness, and promotes a Food Safety Culture within employees and leadership. Responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and ongoing execution of food safety preventive control programs (Policies, SOPs, SSOPs, Cleaning Schedules, Master Sanitation Schedules, and associated records) within the facility. Working on the overnight shift, the Sanitation Supervisor ensures sanitation activities are executed, documented, and continuously improved, verifies effectiveness, resolves issues promptly, and ensures staff are trained and competent in sanitation practice. Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with government regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, USDA, OSHA, EPA, DOT, HACCP) and customer specifications, corporate food safety, and quality standards; take corrective actions as needed. Inspect the manufacturing process to determine sanitation protocols and select best solutions regarding processes, tools, technologies, scheduling, etc. Coordinate and monitor Cleaning Schedules and Master Sanitation Schedules (MSS) and SSOPs; monitor and verify the sanitation program via daily inspections and report any irregularities. Create and distribute work schedules for the sanitation staff; ensure pre-operations processes meet sanitary standards prior to production. Monitor the preparation and use of cleaning chemicals; keep "Right to Know" stations / Safety Data Sheets (SDS) current and compliant. Organize and conduct annual chemical, SSOP, and CSC-specific training; establish and maintain effective working relationships across internal stakeholders. Monitor and ensure compliance with the applicable food safety CCPs, oPRPs, and PRs; maintain and verify sanitation records for correctness and completeness. Keep Cleaning Schedules, MSS, and SSOPs up to date; review environmental monitoring, cleaning and sanitation swab results for trends and corrective action. Collaborate with FSQS process owner to conduct risk assessments, zoning programs, and other interventions; participate in the Food Safety Team as a sanitation process owner. Work with Engineering and Maintenance on facility or equipment changes to ensure sanitary design principles are considered; assess sanitary design to mitigate risk. Manage Pest Control programs and coordinate with third parties; perform other duties as assigned. Lead and develop sanitation staff or recruit, onboard, train, support, and evaluate performance as applicable; support company initiatives such as FSMS, HACCP, Lean Manufacturing, and Safety. Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Science or equivalent knowledge. ServSafe certification. One to three years of sanitation experience in a food-related field. Working knowledge of developing and implementing Cleaning Schedules, MSS, and SSOPs in food manufacturing. Proven analytical and leadership skills; strong interpersonal and communication skills.
