– join to apply. This role provides coordination, project management, and operational support to the U.S. Transit COO and leadership team. It blends administrative duties with operational impact, serving as a central point for organization, follow-up, and execution for COO office initiatives. Operational Coordination & Support: Partner with the COO to coordinate priorities, manage follow-ups, and track progress on key initiatives and KPIs. Support the COO’s Operations Performance Team in preparing materials, consolidating updates, and driving accountability across functions. Organize and facilitate regular leadership meetings (agenda setting, materials preparation, capturing action items, tracking deliverables). Manage the flow of information to and from the COO, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and timeliness. Analyze data and provide critical feedback. Project & Initiative Management: Lead coordination of cross-functional projects sponsored by the COO, ensuring milestones and outcomes are met. Develop project trackers and reporting mechanisms to monitor progress, risks, and outcomes. Work with SVPs and their teams to consolidate operational metrics, presentations, and dashboards for COO and Executive Committee review. Executive & Administrative Support: Provide limited executive administrative support (calendar prioritization, meeting logistics, travel/events coordination) to enable the COO to focus on strategic priorities. Draft correspondence, reports, and presentations on behalf of the COO. Coordinate with Corporate Communications, HR, Finance, and other functions to prepare COO messaging and materials. Performance & Continuous Improvement: Assist in the collection, analysis, and synthesis of operational performance data to identify trends and opportunities. Support COO-driven initiatives such as operational reviews, strategic planning, and performance improvement workshops. Recommend and implement process improvements to increase efficiency in the COO’s office and across Operations. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Public Administration, Transportation, or related field; Master’s degree preferred. Experience can be substituted for education at 2 years of experience equals one year of education. 5–8 years of experience in operations support, project management, or executive support roles, ideally within transportation, logistics, or related industries. Strong organizational and project management skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities. Excellent communication skills—written, verbal, and presentation. High degree of professionalism, discretion, and judgment in handling confidential information. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with project management or performance tracking tools a plus. Key Competencies
