As a Director of Operations for Boka Restaurant Group, you will oversee specific restaurant locations. You will help develop strategies for increasing operational efficiency, hiring and training of management, maintain open communication with BRG teams, and oversee the overall business function of the locations assigned to you. Schedule
5 days a week; schedule will vary including weekends and holidays. Director of Operations Responsibilities
Lead, coach, and mentor the management and operations teams at assigned locations, including Floor Managers, Culinary Managers, Office Managers, etc., and assist in training incoming managers. Identify and address improvement opportunities by working with the BRG Executive Team; observe on-site operations and develop strategic improvement plans. Monitor staffing status across all areas of the assigned entity; ensure adequate personnel coverage. Ensure cost controls at locations and continuously identify additional cost-control opportunities with the teams. Oversee, audit, and submit payroll documentation to the Accounting team; act as final review before paychecks are issued. Facilitate effective weekly Management Meetings and drive initiatives with prepared follow-up tasks. Maintain HR issue reporting and resolution processes, ensuring procedures are followed. Collaborate with the COO and Beverage Teams to align beverage programs with the concept, seasonally update, and monitor inventory and budgets. Support manager performance reviews with constructive feedback for growth. Oversee inventories (FOH/BOH) and ensure end-of-month reports are properly documented; manage inter-location transfers as needed. Provide coverage and support to management teams as needed (e.g., floor coverage, training, opening/closing duties). Support in building the Boka Catering Operations department, including staffing events, implementing staffing software, and ensuring staffing for events. Manage catering events on-site to ensure BRG standards, adherence to BEO, and client satisfaction. Lift and move up to 10 pounds; frequently up to 25 pounds; occasionally up to 50 pounds. Safely use tools, equipment, and cleaning chemicals. Stand and walk through an entire shift, including navigating stairs, uneven or slick surfaces. Ability to work in hot and cold environments.
