From managing complex networks to solving high-stakes technical challenges, your expertise will help drive agile, time-sensitive Command and Control (C2) strategies that shape global operations. Responsibilities
Oversee a high-performing team of administrators, analysts, and technicians across the Area-of-Responsibility (AOR). Ensure seamless, secure, and compliant network operations that support critical DoD communications, including LAN/BAN/WAN, Unified Communications, VoIP, VTC, firewalls, and cryptographic systems. Plan, monitor, and maintain technologies to keep USINDOPACOM connected and mission-ready. Identify and prioritize network assignments; coordinate internal and external resources; communicate responsibilities to the team; participate in network-related special projects. Monitor operational status of networks; communicate status and changes; relay RFIs to leadership, ESD, and stakeholders. Track and resolve incidents related to network infrastructure and core services; act as escalation point and ensure proper communication and remediation. Evaluate new services, technologies, software, tools, and devices to proactively monitor performance and remediate concerns. Provide supervisory and administrative oversight of managed personnel including recruiting, onboarding, direction/guidance, training, and assessment of network staff. Validate SOPs and TTPs for current network technologies; summarize pertinent network accomplishments, issues and concerns. Configure and maintain Cisco routers/switches, ASAs, Taclane encryption devices, and Cisco VOIP systems following SOPs/TTPs. Implement and oversee CSfC and Taclane encryption methods to protect sensitive data. Support maintenance of VDI environments and ensure secure user access. Manage CUCM, VTC systems, and other Cisco VoIP services to ensure reliable communication. Collaborate with Cross-Domain Solutions teams to facilitate secure information sharing across security domains. Liaise with points of contact and customers to understand network needs and provide solutions including materials, proposals, diagrams, and implementation timelines. Follow guidance from the Operations Manager and adhere to established standards and procedures for network administration. Participate in related solution technologies and special projects as required. Minimum Requirements
Active in-scope TOP SECRET clearance with SCI eligibility. Bachelor’s degree in IT, Networking, or related field; or 8+ years of experience in network administration. DoD 8570 IAT-II compliant (Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CND, SSCP). Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire. Expertise in Cisco routers and switches, ASA, Palo Alto firewalls, CSfC, Taclane encryption, VDI, Cross-Domain Solutions, CUCM, and VTCs. Knowledge of network security best practices and compliance standards including STIGs. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot network issues. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapt to changing requirements, and communicate effectively with POCs and customers. Ability to support 24/7 operations (including exercises) when necessary. Ability to follow instructions and work independently and in distributed teams. Preferred Qualifications
Relevant IT certifications related to Cisco and network security (e.g., Cisco, Palo Alto, ITIL). Familiarity with DoD protocols and procedures. Experience with virtual infrastructure, VDI/thin-client, and VoIP deployments. Knowledge of EverFox, Juniper, and other network technologies. Proficient in Help Desk and software tools (Jira, ServiceNow, Remedy). Awareness of Command and Control (C2) applications. Experience with ITIL processes (Change, Configuration, Incident, Capacity Management). Customer-service oriented with a willingness to participate and assist. Work Environment
