Senior Enterprise Architect , you’ll lead the design and delivery of IT solutions that empower USINDOPACOM and its 5,000+ users across the Pacific theater. This role involves architecting resilient systems that drive real-time decision-making and enable strategic command and control at the speed of relevance. You will provide leadership and guidance to the IT Engineering Team, overseeing architecture and engineering efforts from design through sustainment and operation, and acting as Operations Person-In-Charge when the Operations Manager and Operations Deputy are unavailable. Responsibilities
Design, develop, deliver, integrate, and document Enterprise IT Services and Architecture. Evaluate technology strategy, organization, applications, and infrastructure. Coordinate on enterprise architecture landscape, including technology, information, data, security, and integration. Evaluate new services, technologies, software, tools, and devices to improve Enterprise capabilities for automation and orchestration. Assess current work processes and workflows, propose recommendations for improvement and efficiencies. Validate in-place SOPs and TTPs against Subject Matter Expertise of relevant technologies. Design and Deliver solutions for customer requirements, including List of Materials (LOM), proposals and related supporting documents (e.g., solution diagrams, implementation timelines). Regularly collect and summarize pertinent IT Architecture accomplishments, issues and concerns. Acknowledge, categorize, and validate Request for Information (RFI) for Enterprise Management and Government customers. Ensure compliance of custody and ownership of Government equipment and related components. Participate in and provide feedback to IT-relevant special projects, as required. Actively in-scope TOP SECRET clearance with SCI eligibility. Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in IT Architecture, or similar, or 10+ years of experience in Enterprise IT Engineering and Operations involving complex classified DoD environments and mandatory security controls (e.g., STIGs), including 5+ years in analysis, design, and delivery of complex IT infrastructures. DoD 8570 IAT-III compliant (e.g., CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, GCIH). Advanced knowledge in delivery and support of classified VDI/virtual environment platforms (e.g., Citrix, VMware, Azure Cloud/Hyper-V, Nutanix AHV) including thin-clients and Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI). Advanced knowledge in IT security mechanics (e.g., Zero-trust, authentication protocols: MFA/hardware tokens, AD/ADFS, certificates and encryption, auditing, and logging). Extensive knowledge of modern operating systems (e.g., MS Windows, Red Hat Enterprise Linux) and secure-access configurations. Experience with NSA CSfC requirements including MSCCP and MACP. Experience with Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) and/or DISA Trusted Network Environment (TNE). Experience in ITIL framework and best practices (e.g., Change Management, Configuration Management, Capacity Planning). Strong communication skills, both verbal and written; ability to work in a distributed environment. Customer-service oriented with willingness to participate and assist. Ability to support 24/7 operations (including support to exercises) when necessary. Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in IT Architecture, or similar. Certifications in TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, and Google Professional Cloud Architect. Additional IT certifications in relevant platforms (e.g., Cisco, Citrix, Dell, HPE/Aruba, ITIL, Juniper, Microsoft, Nutanix, Palo Alto, VMware). Advanced understanding of storage components (e.g., NAS/SAN) and data availability and archiving. Experience with Microsoft back-end services in distributed data center environments (e.g., SQL Server, Exchange Server, SharePoint). Extended networking knowledge (switching and routing) and familiarity with Cisco, Brocade, HPE/Aruba and Palo Alto solutions. Familiarity with DoD protocols, procedures, and regulations; knowledge of C2 applications and program support. Experience with Help Desk/software tools (e.g., Jira, Remedy, ServiceNow). Working conditions are normal for an office environment; ability to operate in fast-paced, deadline-driven contexts; may require non-traditional hours including nights or weekends. Working at SOSi
